Endless Custom Shooter
A downloadable game for Windows, Linux, and Android
Endless Custom Shooter is the game for taking aim at literally anything by importing its image. Mow down hordes of attacking NPC's using the included sprite, or snap a photo from the internet. Square images work best, but every aspect ratio image is scaled to fit in a box. In the sample screenshots here, I used my own image as an enemy sprite and then colored the sprite black from within Endless Custom Shooter.
Only an image of a PC is included to maintain a lightweight game. Although each enemy is an exact copy of the original image, the horde grows in size and strength as the battle lengthens. To Fight More Advanced enemies, expend souls reaped from enemies to purchase upgrades local to each game session like bigger weapons and tactical abilities. There is an online cross-platform leaderboard for the highest amounts of collected souls. Keyboard, controller, and touchscreen are supported methods of input. The game was created using Godot 3.3.2, the best open source game engine.
From the start, you can already customize:
Enemy texture - file explorer importing
Environment color -RGBA (yes, transparent backgrounds are viable)
Enemy color
Environment background image
Environment background image color
Hair color
There is an HTML5 version of Endless Custom Shooter hosted on Newgrounds: https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/799716. The browser version is unable to import custom images due to browser environment sandboxing.
